I’m sure there are a lot of companies hard at work on Kindle Fire accessories and we’ll put the best ones here as soon as we find them and they’re released. For now there will generally be a limited selection.
USB A-male to micro-B Cable
This is a MUST HAVE! The Kindle Fire doesn’t come with a cable to connect to your computer for easy transfer of files, so you’re really going to want this cable right away. I found one that’s cheap and has an average 5-star review, so you can’t really go wrong here. Check out out here
AmazonBasics Stylus for Kindle Fire

This stylus for the Kindle Fire is excellent for anyone that wants the feel of a pen and the usefulness of being able to hand write on your Kindle Fire. It’s perfect for being able to take notes, make precise adjustments or movements, and useful for the ladies out there with long fingernails. The user reviews for this compliment the “just right” weight, and the smooth gliding rubber tip. Check it out on Amazon here.
Squaretrade 2-Year Warranty
I have mixed feelings about the warranty offered for the Fire. On the one hand, if you think you’ll need a warranty because there’s a good chance it might break from being mishandled, then Squaretrade is well known for honoring their warranty. On the other hand, it’s about $45, which means you have to assume there’s about a 25% or greater chance that your Fire will break within 2 years for this to be a wise investment. If you think there’s less chance, it’s better to just risk it. The other consideration is that devices like these always go down in price rapidly, and new models come out every year or two. If your Fire breaks a year from now, it might only cost $150 to replace it, or you might want a Fire 2 at that point if it’s out. That said, some people know there’s a good chance it could break from children, travel, or other reasons, so click here to check it out if that’s you.
